Hey forgive me for the “johnny-on-the-spot” post, but it’s a pretty rad New Music Friday so I figured it’d be opportune to put out a little news and update post about a few brand new releases I’m thoroughly enjoying today! I am fully aware that I am likely forgetting or missing some I find notable in the moment, so I’ve added my “Release Radar” playlist to the post for good measure! Feel free to use TuneMyMusic to transfer that playlist to your streaming service of choice and cheers to discovering some brilliant new music that resonates with you.

Todd & Karen – “Singles”

The melodically saavy, Norwegian-Irish Pop Duo Todd & Karen dropped an album today comprised of an impressive collection of what I would certainly think of as “Indie hits” titled, “Singles.”

VooDoo Planet w/ Mikey J – “Adrift”

A couple of my favorite indie rock artists team up on this one! Voodoo Planet and Mikey J embark on a collaboration that transcends the span of an ocean to release “Adrift.” It’s a three song endeavor that I bought on Pre-Order last Bandcamp Friday. If you’ve been familiar with the blog, the AMS Xmas compliation, and/or the Tweetcore Radio Hour podcast, then there’s a good chance you are familiar with these two artists too! Thirsty for more details? The Eclectic Music Lover wrote a great piece on it today. Check that out HERE

CYANATE – “Angel Throat”

Those of you who know me well, very well know by now that if you tell me you got some music for me that is face-melting, over the top, frenzied, rocking, Metalcore …. you’re only threatening me with a good time. My buds in Cyanate dropped their latest, “Angel Throat” that is a testament to just how deep into the Metal genre they can go. Cinematic clean vocals, wailing guitar-work, thunderous bass and kicks, primal growling. This is a great way for them to tease up their upcoming mini tour in May.

Keep up with shows, music and more from the band on IG

And alas, so much more new music all over the corners of the globe. Too much to give the proper shout out they deserve in just one on-the-spot post, so here’s my Release Radar playlist from Spotify. Remember, you can stream from anywhere by connecting the dots via TuneMyMusic. Hope your New Music Friday is going as good as mine.
